Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support the Spent Fuel Handling Project near Idaho Falls. The role provides I&C engineering support for construction, testing and commissioning, reviewing design deliverables and ensuring ISA standards alignment.

Candidates should have 5+ years in I&C, an ABET-accredited engineering degree (or 15 years experience in lieu), and be willing to work onsite. U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of instrumentation and controls experience.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or 15 years of I&C experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience from concept through construction and commissioning.
• Familiarity with ISA standards and quality procedures (ISO 9000/NQA-1).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide I&C engineering expertise for SFHP project, supporting construction, testing and commissioning.
• Review and check design documents and I&C deliverables.
• Develop and size instrumentation, create specifications for industrial control systems.
• Support field onsite activities at Idaho National Lab as needed.
