Job summary

Stellix Global Services is seeking an I&C Engineer to blend control panel/system design with field engineering. You will support instrumentation, electrical systems, and control panel layouts across DCS & PLC platforms while collaborating with customers to deliver innovative solutions in dynamic industrial environments.

The role emphasizes startups, commissioning, troubleshooting, and collaboration with sales proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• 3+ years in related engineering field.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Standards (NEC, UL 508A, IEC, ISA).
• Sensor types (thermocouples, RTDs, pressure/flow sensors).

Responsibilities

• Design and specify instrumentation, control panels, and materials based on customer needs.
• Perform control system startups, loop checks, commissioning, and generate documentation/punch lists.
• Troubleshoot analog/discrete signals and protocols (HART, Fieldbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, AS-I, Ethernet I/P, ProfiNET, Modbus).
• Manage electrical installation vendors, review submittals, and execute pre-FAT/FAT for green or brownfield system installations.
• Perform PLC & DCS system physical layer troubleshooting.
• Support Front End Engineering and Design studies
• Support sales proposals (estimates, walkdowns, scoping, BOM generation).
• Travel: 30-75% within New England; lift up to 50 lbs.
