Job summary

Cindavi in Madison, WI, seeks an Engineering Manager for Instruments and Controls and Electrical Engineering to lead a newly integrated team at our Fitchburg campus. You will oversee design, development, procurement, and testing of systems powering medical isotope production facilities.

You will mentor engineers, establish common technology platforms, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment while coordinating across sites to set standards for DCS, PAC/PLC, and DAQ systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred).
• 7–10+ years in engineering with proven management experience.
• Strong electrical engineering competence in power distribution or I&C; PLC basics.
• Ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional teams.
• Continuous improvement mindset and process evaluation.
• Experience in automation in medical instruments, radiopharma, or nuclear industries preferred.
• Experience with PLC programming and embedded C is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and lead a team of I&C and electrical engineers focused on control systems, instrumentation, and power supply design.
• Mentor engineers in technology, decision making, and ownership of I&C equipment.
• Lead the integration of software and electrical engineering teams to function cohesively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional managers at other sites to establish common standards and platforms.
• Oversee digital and analog control systems including DCS, PAC/PLC, and DAQ systems.
• Participate in design reviews and releases; prioritize troubleshooting.
• Ensure documentation release and support installation and commissioning with build/test teams.
