Job summary

System One is seeking an I&C Commissioning Technician to support the commissioning of a simple cycle peaker project featuring a Siemens 9000H turbine. This onsite contract role requires startup expertise, engineering background, and adherence to safety standards.

The candidate will participate in startup activities, develop startup procedures, track documentation, and ensure turnover to operations and the client is timely and compliant with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens 9000H.
• Knowledge of discipline technical principles related to power plants.
• OSHA 10 Hour Training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years startup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify equipment is in compliance with contract and design specs, tested per supplier requirements.
• Assist in development of startup packages and track documentation for maintenance.
• Prepare and maintain a detailed startup schedule with milestones.
• Manage construction completion, startup turnover, and client handover.
• Develop and implement startup procedures to satisfy contract requirements.
• Execute startup activities ensuring compliance with specifications and contracts.
