System One is seeking an I&C Commissioning Technician to support the commissioning of a simple cycle peaker project featuring a Siemens 9000H turbine. This onsite contract role requires startup expertise, engineering background, and adherence to safety standards.

The candidate will participate in startup activities, develop startup procedures, track documentation, and ensure turnover to operations and the client is timely and compliant with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens 9000H.
• Knowledge of discipline technical principles related to power plants.
• OSHA 10 Hour Training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years startup experience preferred.

Job Title: Commissioning I&C Technician

System One is recruiting for I&C Commissioning Technician to support the commissioning of a simple cycle peaker project with a Siemens 9000H turbine.

Responsibilities:

• Verify that plant equipment is in compliance with project contract and specification requirements, conforms to design operational feasibility, and is set up and tested per the supplier’s requirements.
• Assist in the development of startup packages and track all documentation required for proper maintenance.
• Participate in the preparation and maintenance of a detailed startup schedule, proactively planning for activities and milestones.
• Manage construction completion, turnover to startup, startup turnover to operations, and final turnover to the client.
• Develop and implement startup procedures to satisfy contract requirements and coordinate startup efforts.
• Execute startup activities ensuring compliance with specifications and contracts, resulting in efficient and timely turnover.
• Conduct thorough system walk downs/reviews to establish completion status and identify outstanding items.
• Serve as the primary point-of-contact for all system functions through startup and operation.
• Verify systems are installed per design, confirm operational feasibility, and record engineering changes.
• Ensure proper setup and testing of equipment, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and manage change impacts.

Requirements

• Experience with Siemens 9000H
• Knowledge of discipline technical principles related to power plants.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and instruments used in performance of job duties.
• Knowledge of internal engineering systems and tools.
• OSHA 10 Hour Training.
• Bachelor's of Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant startup experience preferred.
• Project instructions manual, contract documents, and startup guidelines familiarity.
• Supervisory, communication, planning, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills.
