Job summary

OnQCx is seeking an experienced I&C / BMS Superintendent to lead field installation and integration of instrumentation and building management systems on mission-critical projects. You will ensure subcontractors work safely, to drawings, and on schedule, with emphasis on readiness for commissioning.

Responsibilities include supervising I&C devices and BMS infrastructure, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and IT/OT teams, performing loop checks, and maintaining accurate field

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field supervision of controls, automation, or low-voltage system installations.
• Experience in data centers, semiconductor, industrial, or large-scale MEP projects.
• Ability to read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, schematics, and one-lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of subcontractors installing I&C devices (sensors, transmitters, actuators, valves).
• Oversee BMS infrastructure (controllers, panels, cabling, networks).
• Walk down installations to verify compliance with drawings, specs, and codes.
• Support QA/QC activities, including loop checks and device verifications.
• Coordinate field activities with Mechanical, Electrical, and IT/OT teams.
• Monitor schedule and productivity, escalating risks to project leadership.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce site EHS protocols.
• Assist commissioning agents during startup, functional testing, and turnover.
• Maintain field documentation, progress reports, and as-built tracking.
