Job summary

Berman Hyundai in Lincolnwood, IL is seeking an experienced Journeyman Technician (Union Local 701) to join our service team. The role focuses on quality repairs, complex diagnostics, and delivering excellent customer service.

Pay is $45.15 per flat rate hour and includes company-paid health insurance, pension, ASE certifications, tool insurance, uniforms, PTO, and employee discounts. Join a team with strong union representation and opportunities for travel for training.

Qualifications

• ASE Certified technician with applicable state license.
• Clean driving record (3 years).
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Hyundai vehicles according to manufacturer standards.
• Accurately diagnose electrical, mechanical, and drivability concerns.
• Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Utilize Hyundai diagnostic equipment, service information, and special tools.
• Document repair orders thoroughly and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians and stay current with Hyundai training.
