Job summary

Berman Hyundai in Lincolnwood, IL is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, an hourly wage of $22, and opportunities for ASE training and advancement.

You will diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, perform road tests, and ensure work meets manufacturer standards. A valid driver’s license and at least 2 years of technician experience are required; teamwork and safety come first.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of experience as a technician in a work setting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Knowledge in aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to assess issues.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and A/C.
• Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
