Job summary

Stratolaunch, LLC is seeking a Senior Security Engineer - Hypersonic Test Systems to protect hypersonic test articles, infrastructure, and telemetry data from cyber threats. You will secure embedded systems, OT, and telemetry pipelines, collaborating with engineers and program teams to build security into test workflows.

This on-site/hybrid role requires deep expertise in hardware and software security for mission-critical environments, with a focus on test systems and safety-critical

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product security, embedded security, OT security, or cyber-physical systems.
• Hands-on experience securing non-cloud, non-SaaS systems.
• Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or bare-metal environments.
• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Secure flight computers, controllers, embedded processors, instrumentation, sensors, and telemetry devices.
• Design and validate secure boot and firmware integrity controls.
• Prevent unauthorized parameter manipulation and logic modification.
• Assess physical and cyber tamper risks and evaluate hardware trust boundaries.
• Secure wind tunnels, propulsion stands, thermal test environments, and data acquisition systems.
• Ensure test execution cannot be disrupted or influenced by cyber means.
• Authenticate and validate command paths and prevent cyber-induced anomalies.
• Perform threat modeling on cyber-physical workflows.
• Integrate security into test software development and mitigate supply chain risks in test tooling.
• Red-team test environments prior to execution.
• Define security requirements for suppliers and validate firmware provenance.
