Job summary

North Wind in Minnesota is seeking a highly analytical Director of Program Management to co-lead the development, infrastructure build-out, and operational stand-up of a greenfield hypersonic ground test and data evaluation facility.

The role partners with the Vice President of Program Management to oversee programs across the organization, ensuring adherence to project-management best practices, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, finance and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience, OR a Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience.
• Experience leading large-scale programs and driving performance against schedule and budget.
• Experience in government project management/execution and closeout.
• Familiarity with EVM (EV) and enterprise financial tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of program from inception through completion.
• Manage cost, schedule and technical performance of program capabilities.
• Serve as customer contact and lead program review sessions.
• Establish milestones and monitor master plans and schedules.
• Direct work of employees across technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
• Drive daily execution rhythm across engineering, finance and project teams.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; maintain risk register and corrective actions.
• Strategically manage Program budgets with financial rigor and predictability.
