Job summary

Stratolaunch, LLC in Mojave, CA is seeking a Sr- or Staff-level GNC Engineer to participate in designing and validating hypersonic flight control systems. You will work on requirements verification, algorithm development, and testing across the flight control stack, with exposure to a broad set of technical data.

The role requires strong knowledge of flight dynamics, GNC concepts, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience for Level II, 5–10 for Sr-level, 10–20 for Staff-level.
• Experience with flight dynamics and GNC concepts is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate advanced algorithms to meet GNC requirements.
• Develop hypersonic plant modeling and analysis tools.
• Create ADDs documenting GNC designs.
• Verify algorithm designs meet requirements.
• Contribute to flight control system design, development, integration and test.
• Develop engineering tools to complete tasks.
• Communicate with Vehicle Management System and GNC leads.
• Travel as needed.
