Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement for data center infrastructure or networking hardware.
• Experience sourcing fiber optic cables, transceivers, cables, or related components.
• Experience leading complex supplier negotiations and contracts at scale.
• Experience turning technical requirements into sourcing and supply chain plans.
• Experience analyzing market dynamics and total cost of ownership to guide decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own end-to-end category strategies for optical commodities, including transceivers and related components.
• Lead complex negotiations with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to secure favorable pricing, lead times, and terms.
• Build and manage a diversified supplier base and conduct qualification activities and performance reviews.
• Partner with network engineering, data center design, and capacity planning to translate requirements into sourcing roadmaps.
• Analyze total cost of ownership to identify cost-reduction opportunities through design-to-cost, volume leverage, and consolidation.
• Monitor global supply, lead times, and geopolitical risks, developing mitigation strategies.
• Drive supplier development programs to improve quality, delivery, and technology readiness.
• Establish and track KPIs for supplier delivery, quality, and cost for leadership review.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives with legal, finance, and construction teams for data center programs.
