Job summary

CBRE DIRECTLINE is hiring a Fiber Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for low-voltage systems in hyperscale data center projects. You will analyze blueprints, coordinate with sales and project management, and ensure bids meet industry standards.

The role requires fiber knowledge, solid estimating fundamentals, and the ability to work under aggressive timelines. Data center experience is preferred and advanced Bluebeam skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years fiber or low-voltage estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of installation methods and production rates.
• Data center experience preferred.
• Advanced Bluebeam and Excel skills for takeoffs and bidding.

Responsibilities

• Estimate SMF/MMF, OSP/ISP, MPO/MTP, high-count fiber systems.
• Build labor-driven costs (pulling, splicing, terminating, testing).
• Produce accurate takeoffs from complex drawings and incomplete designs.
• Level vendor quotes and drive competitive pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and execution constraints.
• Support multi-building campus estimates.
