Job summary

CBRE | DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, is seeking a Cost Estimator for hyperscale data center projects in the US. You will prepare comprehensive estimates for materials, labor, and expenses, coordinate with sales and project management, and ensure bids meet deadlines.

The role requires 3+ years in large-scale data center cost estimation, proficiency with low-voltage systems, and experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 3+ years in cost estimating large-scale hyperscale data centers.
• Proficiency with data center infrastructure, electrical systems, and low-voltage practices.

Responsibilities

• Cost estimating: prepare comprehensive estimates for materials, labor, engineering, and other expenses for hyperscale data center projects.
• Bid and proposal management: develop detailed bid packages with pricing documentation and risk factors.
• Document analysis: interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine full scope of work.
• Vendor and subcontractor coordination: secure pricing for materials and services.
• Project collaboration: work with sales, project management, procurement and executives for accuracy and smooth transitions.
• Risk management: identify risks, monitor scope changes, and prepare change orders.
