Job summary

CBRE | DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, is hiring a Fiber Estimator to develop accurate, competitive low-voltage cost estimates for hyperscale data center projects. You will analyze blueprints, prepare proposals, and coordinate with sales and project management while tracking scope changes and vendor pricing.

The role requires strong fiber knowledge, solid estimating fundamentals, and the ability to deliver under aggressive timelines.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years fiber or low-voltage estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of installation methods and production rates.
• Data center experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel and Bluebeam skills.
• Ability to manage multiple fast-paced bids with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Estimate SMF/MMF, OSP/ISP, MPO/MTP, high-count fiber systems.
• Build labor-driven costs (pulling, splicing, terminating, testing).
• Produce accurate takeoffs from complex drawings and incomplete designs.
• Level vendor quotes and drive competitive pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and execution constraints.
• Support multi-building campus estimates.
