Job summary

SpaceXAI in Memphis seeks a Manager, Operations to lead facilities operations and power generation for its hyperscale AI compute facilities. You will own day-to-day and long-term performance of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, electrical, HVAC, and network support.

You will build and mentor cross‑functional teams, ensure 24/7 uptime, drive reliability, and partner with engineering, procurement, and AI hardware teams on builds and expansions.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in data center/facilities operations, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading large teams in high-density compute environments.
• Strong knowledge of power generation, MEP systems, and 24/7 operations best practices.
• Familiarity with fiber networks and high-bandwidth interconnects.
• Proven track record in reliability, incident response, and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities operations and power generation teams for reliable infrastructure.
• Direct fiber teams for high-speed networks and interconnects across clusters and sites.
• Own uptime, MTTR/MTTD, PUE/WUE, and overall availability metrics.
• Develop SOPs, preventive maintenance, and incident response programs.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and partner with engineering, procurement, and hardware groups.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, inventory, and risk in a fast-paced environment.
• Drive automation, predictive maintenance, and sustainability initiatives.
