Job summary

SpaceXAI seeks an exceptional Manager, Operations to lead facilities operations and power generation for its hyperscale AI compute facilities. You will own day-to-day and long-term performance of mission-critical data center operations, including power, cooling, and networking infrastructure, while directing fiber teams supporting AI clusters.

You will build and lead high-performing operations teams, drive reliability and efficiency, and ensure 24/7 uptime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center facilities operations or mission-critical environments, with at least 2+ years in a management role.
• Proven track record leading large operations teams in high-density compute environments with on-site or dedicated power generation.
• Experience managing fiber optic networks and high-bandwidth connectivity infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of power generation systems, MEP, BMS/SCADA, liquid cooling, and 24/7 operations best practices.
• Strong leadership with budget, cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with CMMS, monitoring platforms, and data-driven decision making.
• Hands-on leadership with the ability to roll up sleeves.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities operations and power generation teams for reliable infrastructure.
• Direct fiber teams for high-speed networks interconnecting AI compute clusters.
• Own uptime targets (99.999%+) and MTTR/MTTD, and PUE/WUE metrics.
• Develop SOPs, preventive maintenance, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams while fostering safety and excellence.
• Partner with engineering, construction, procurement for new facilities and expansions.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, spare parts, and risk mitigation.
• Drive automation, predictive maintenance, and sustainability initiatives.
• Provide performance reports and strategic recommendations to leadership.
