Job summary

Flex seeks a skilled Debug Technician in Memphis, TN to join our enterprise hardware repair team. You will perform advanced board-level troubleshooting on server, storage, and networking components, collaborating with design and test groups to resolve issues and improve reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with server power architectures, DDR and PCIe high-speed interconnects, and the ability to read complex schematics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise server, storage, or networking hardware repair.
• Strong understanding of server power architecture, VRM design, and high-speed signal integrity fundamentals.
• Experience with DDR memory debugging, PCIe interfaces, and high-speed interconnects.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and PCB layout archives.
• Experience working with high-value components and low yield repair environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced board-level troubleshooting on server and data center PCBs.
• Diagnose high speed digital, power distribution, and mixed-signal circuits using schematics and BIOS logs.
• Utilize test equipment including oscilloscopes, analyzers, and automated test platforms.
• Execute precision debug of BGAs using thermal profiles and X-ray verification.
• Perform root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve functionality gaps and refine repair processes for scalability.
• Develop and maintain detailed debugging guides, diagnostic flowcharts, and repair documentation.
• Track yield, repair cycle time, and failure mode trends to improve productivity.
• Support installation, validation, and optimization of test/rework equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to ESD, safety, and quality standards.
• Mentor junior technicians and share best practices.
