Hydrogen Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Project Manager to act as the owner's representative for hyperscale data center construction, guiding projects from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover. You will lead schedules, budgets, and stakeholders, oversee MEP/structural systems, coordinate with GC partners and utility providers, and ensure safety.

This on-site role requires 8+ years PM experience, data center delivery, and a degree in Construction Management, Engineering,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction project management, incl. data centers.
• 4+ years on data center projects from start to finish.
• Experience with developers, hyperscalers, or GC relationships.
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV electrical, UPS, generators, cooling.
• Experience with multimillion-dollar budgets and GC relationships.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6/Procore/Bluebeam or equivalents.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture or equivalent experience.
• On-site work in the Columbus area.

About the opportunity

Our client is a leading hyperscale data center developer building two of the largest campuses in Central Ohio. They need a Senior Project Manager to act as the owner’s representative, leading construction from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.

What you’ll do

• Lead hyperscale data center construction from design and precon through commissioning, IST, and operational handover
• Manage general contractors, trade partners, engineering firms, and utility providers
• Own schedules, critical path, budgets, forecasting, change orders, and pay applications
• Oversee electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, structural systems, and site utilities
• Drive long-lead equipment procurement and utility interconnection coordination
• Manage RFIs, submittals, design coordination, QA/QC, punch lists, and closeout
• Champion a strong safety culture and report status, risks, and milestones to senior leadership

What you bring

• 8+ years of construction project management, with at least 4 years on data center projects
• At least one major data center project delivered start to finish
• A background with a developer, hyperscaler, or general contractor
• Strong knowledge of MEP and structural systems, with MV/HV electrical, UPS, generators, and cooling a plus
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and complex GC relationships
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work on-site in the Columbus area
