Job summary

Safety Controls Technology (SCT) in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Safety Manager for a two-year, local data center project. You will lead risk assessments, investigations, audits, and training to ensure regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture on a hyperscale construction site.

The ideal candidate has CSP or CHST, OSHA 30, and a track record in mission-critical safety with data centers. Availability Feb 2027–Nov 2028 is required; local travel only, with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• CSP or CHST certification required.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification required.
• Must live in Grand Rapids, MI area; local assignment with no travel.
• Available for full project duration: Feb 1, 2027 – Nov 2028.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site-wide safety and health risk assessments and prioritize mitigations.
• Promote safety compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Lead investigations of injuries and high-risk incidents; perform root cause analyses and CAPs.
• Prepare incident reports and track corrective actions to closure.
• Implement proactive safety programs and safety culture initiatives.
• Develop and improve auditing and inspection processes; perform annual audits.
• Oversee contractor safety programs at client sites and manage OSHA logs.
