Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring a Data Center Rack and Stack Technician in Lewisville, TX to install and deploy server cabinets, network gear, and related infrastructure within hyperscale data centers.

You will follow rack elevations and installation drawings, manage cables and asset inventory, upgrade server hardware, and support new construction, expansions, and hardware refresh projects while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience installing server cabinets and network equipment.
• Ability to interpret rack elevations and installation drawings.
• Familiarity with structured cabling practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with hardware from major vendors.
• OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deploy server cabinets, network equipment, and infrastructure in hyperscale data centers.
• Mount servers, switches, routers, storage devices, and PDUs.
• Install cable management systems and rack accessories.
• Route copper and fiber patch cables; label connections per standards.
• Inventory and track assets; replace and upgrade server hardware as needed.
• Follow rack elevation drawings and installation documentation.
• Assist with equipment commissioning and turnover; maintain clean work areas.
• Adhere to customer safety and quality procedures.
