Job summary

Mainz Brady Group is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to support server, storage and networking deployments in a high-performance data center environment. You should have 2+ years of rack and stack experience, strong knowledge of rack layouts, structured cabling, PDUs, and enterprise servers from Dell, HPE or similar.

You will follow deployment runbooks, perform basic hardware validation, maintain accurate asset documentation, and collaborate with Data Center Engineers and Network teams

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on data center experience.
  • Reading rack elevation diagrams and deployment documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in rack environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rack, stack, and cable installations for servers, storage, networking, and compute systems.
  • Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and maintain proper airflow and cable management.
  • Connect and verify power, fiber, and copper network cabling according to deployment standards.
  • Support hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) across data center floors.
  • Follow deployment runbooks and engineering documentation.
  • Conduct basic hardware validation, LED/port checks, and physical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking, labeling, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Data Center Engineers and Network teams during deployments and migrations.
  • Adhere to all ESD, safety and security protocols.
  • Assist with decommissioning and removal of end-of-life hardware.
