Job summary

The Weitz Company is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join our Mission Critical team on a hyperscale data center project in Port Washington, WI. This role supports schedule development, subcontract coordination, and procurement activities to keep projects on time and profitable.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of construction PM experience, strong attention to detail, and good negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Industry-related college degree required or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of construction project management experience required.
• LEAN principles desirable; OSHA 10/30 preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Manage small projects or assist larger ones with PM oversight.
• Create or update project schedule and track progress.
• Negotiate change orders with subcontractors and vendors.
• Assist preconstruction and buy-out processes.
• Draft scopes of work for subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Prepare and implement project plans and monitor status
• Complete monthly project status reports and owner billings
