Job summary

SST Direct seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, execution, budgeting, and delivery of data center construction projects from preconstruction through handover in Buffalo, NY. You will coordinate with Design, Construction, Engineering, Procurement and Operations to align schedules, costs, and quality with business objectives.

This role requires managing multi-site teams, driving safety, compliance, and stakeholder alignment while reporting to the Construction Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of project management experience in hyperscale data centers or large infrastructure.
• Experience with hyperscale owners, developers, or GC delivering data center projects.
• PMI-PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven success delivering fast-track, multi-site construction across regions.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, MEP, procurement, scheduling, and cost management.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, Ares, Smartsheet, Confluence, and Excel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of data center construction from kickoff to turnover and handover.
• Develop and manage integrated project schedules and recovery plans.
• Own budgets, cash flow, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations teams.
• Facilitate design reviews, planning sessions, and meetings with RACI matrices.
• Manage procurement activities, contracts, and closeout documentation.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor KPIs and provide weekly status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams across multiple regions; mentor staff.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, standards, safety, and codes.
