Job summary

SST Direct is seeking a Project Manager to lead planning, execution, budgeting, and delivery of mission-critical data center construction projects from preconstruction through handover.

Location: Barber Lake, TX; travel and cross-functional coordination across Design, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations are core to the role. You will manage budgets, schedules, and risk to ensure safe, on-time delivery with high quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of project management experience in hyperscale data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience delivering fast-track, multi-site construction projects across multiple regions.
• PMI-PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of data center construction projects from kickoff through commissioning, turnover, and customer handover.
• Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Own project budgets, cash flow, forecasts, cost tracking, change orders, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with technical requirements and schedules.
• Facilitate design reviews, planning sessions, and meetings while maintaining documentation.
• Manage procurement activities including RFPs, prequalification, bid evaluations, contracts, PCOs, and closeout.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule, budget, and quality.
• Monitor KPIs and provide weekly status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams across multiple geographic regions with staffing and mentoring.
• Conduct regular project stand-ups, executive reviews, and lessons learned sessions.
