Job summary

SST Direct in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior Commissioning Superintendent to lead full-lifecycle commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and controls on hyperscale data center projects (100MW+), ensuring high availability and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with trade contractors, commissioning agents, engineers, and client representatives, drive IST and owner acceptance, and apply rigorous safety and scheduling practices across live-environment facilities.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive field commissioning and supervision in hyperscale data centers.
• Experience owning large-scale commissioning programs from mobilization to owner acceptance.
• Hands-on knowledge of chillers, pumps, HVAC systems, and electrical/controls (BMS/EPMS).
• Ability to lead pre-functional, functional, and IST testing with client-facing communication.
• Proven ability to manage meetings, risk, and accountability among diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead field commissioning and IST for complex, live-environment projects.
• Coordinate with trade contractors, commissioning agents, engineers, and client representatives.
• Drive pre-functional, functional, and IST testing to achieve owner acceptance on-time.
• Apply six-week look-ahead scheduling and visual planning tools to multi-discipline sequences.
• Maintain safety compliance per OSHA and site-specific rules.
• Present status and risk management updates to stakeholders.
