Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Project Executive - Data Center to lead a large project or multiple teams, guiding direction, schedule, and financial outcomes. The role is primarily on-site with some travel for trainings and meetings.

You will work with a skilled team, apply strong technical and communication abilities, and leverage industry software knowledge to deliver complex data center projects safely and on time. This position offers significant leadership responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10-15 years of field construction experience.
• Previous hyperscale data center project experience required.
• Or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall jobsite safety and contract compliance.
• Maintain accountability for meeting contract requirements.
• Verify project financial forecasts, notices, and billings; escalate deviations.
• Develop a project-specific quality plan aligned with contracts.
• Create a closeout plan aligned with contract documents.
• Provide leadership to motivate and manage the project team.
• Direct project administration, superintendents, and engineers to set priorities.
• Oversee subcontracting strategy and buyout process integrity.
• Negotiate contracts and manage risk mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with insurance and bonds.
• Coordinate preconstruction services and review owner/design deliverables.
• Lead communication to meet project schedule and discipline.
