Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead data center builds in the Gulf Region, including Louisiana. You will direct planning, budgeting, and scheduling while coordinating MEP-heavy design and construction activities.

The role requires a strong background in Mission Critical environments, knowledge of Louisiana licensing, and the ability to manage long-lead procurement and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with 5 years in Mission Critical/Data Center environments.
• Experience with MEP-heavy projects and Louisiana licensing requirements.
• Proficiency with project controls and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning and execution of data center builds with compressed delivery timelines.
• Develop and manage budgets, cost controls, and integrated schedules across design, permitting, site development, and construction.
• Lead use of BIM/PM tools to de-risk schedules and manage modular production.
• Manage long-lead procurement cycles for critical equipment.
• Coordinate engineers, designers, and construction managers across phases.
