Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer specializing in hyperscale data centers to lead plumbing design efforts. The role is primarily remote with occasional site visits and travel as needed.

You will design plumbing systems for large-scale data centers and collaborate with global teams. Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, 6+ years in building systems with plumbing focus, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of building systems engineering with emphasis on plumbing design on large buildings.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Working knowledge of local and national building codes.
• Proficient in engineering calculations, spreadsheets, and report writing.
• Must have well-rounded background in plumbing project design and delivery.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Knowledge of sustainable plumbing design and LEED building practices.

Responsibilities

• Serves as lead engineer on hyperscale data center projects.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's area of expertise.
• Approves and signs off on work.
• Collaborates with other engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications and design criteria.
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
• Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Participates in development of technical proposals.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
