Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Cloud Production Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Operations team. In this hyperscale role you will analyze hardware and telemetry data to improve fleet uptime, write automation tools, and collaborate with global teams to deliver reliable cloud services.

You will develop diagnostics, own tooling requirements for frontline operations, and help drive cross-site improvements. Expect up to 25% travel to support global data centers and new site deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in production systems engineering for large-scale cloud environments.
• Experience with hardware lifecycle management and fleet automation.
• Experience developing automation tooling in Python, Bash, or C/C++ for Linux at scale.
• Experience documenting technical designs and decisions for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and root cause systemic issues across the cloud server fleet and drive resolutions.
• Write and maintain code for diagnostic and cloud automation tooling.
• Own diagnostic tooling requirements for frontline operations teams.
• Drive the escalation process for data center operations to resolve complex issues.
• Validate and verify new cloud product integrations in production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional tooling teams to influence roadmaps.
• Perform data analysis to prioritize cloud automation opportunities.
• Build relationships and influence policies to improve global operations.
• Mentor engineers on resolving fleet issues and tooling improvements.
• Travel up to 25% to support global data center operations.
