Job summary

Nuvance Health in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking a Hyperbaric Chamber Technologist for a per diem role in the Wound Care Center. The candidate provides patient care under physician orders, coordinates hyperbaric treatments, and maintains required certifications.

Must hold state license/certification, NBDHMT credential, BCLS, complete 40-hour Intro Course, and obtain CHT within 365 days. At least 12 months HBOT experience preferred; participates in safety and quality programs.

Qualifications

• Current valid license or certification in the relevant qualifying field.
• Maintenance of NBDHMT credential.
• Current BCLS certificate.
• Documentation of completing the 40-hour Introductory Hyperbaric Medicine Course.
• CHT certification within 365 days of eligibility.
• At least 12 months of recent practical experience in hyperbaric medicine.
• Understanding of codes and regulations governing hyperbaric facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hyperbaric patients.
• Operate the hyperbaric facility day-to-day.
• Maintain competencies and certifications as appropriate.
• Provide care within the scope of practice (RN/LPN/RT/EMT/Paramedic).
• Keep complete and accurate patient records.
• Participate in quality assurance programs.
• Contribute to the safety program.
• Participate in committees and discussions on hyperbaric medicine literature.
