Job summary

US Wound Care and Hyperbaric Centers in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Tech to administer HBOT under physician orders, operate and maintain chamber systems, and monitor patient safety. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma, HBOT-related training, BLS certification, and is compliant with vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required and licensure in the applicable discipline.
• Completion of UHMS or NBDHMT Hyperbaric Medicine Training; certification preferred.
• HBOT certification (ACHM/CHT/CHS) is preferred; BLS is required.
• Covid-19 vaccination or approved exemption is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers hyperbaric oxygen treatments under physician orders in a safe, effective manner.
• Operates and maintains hyperbaric chamber and related systems as prescribed by the hyperbaric physician.
• Monitors patient conditions during treatment and records per guidelines.
• Ensures patient comfort and addresses any concerns; communicates safety issues to the supervising physician.
• Documents in the EMR; maintains treatment records and data accuracy.
• Performs pre/post dive assessments; conducts patient orientation and ongoing education.
• Maintains logs for equipment, safety checks, and inventory; ensures center cleanliness and organization.
• Provides in-services and training to HBO staff; cross-trains for coverage as needed.
• Interacts with insurance to obtain authorizations when necessary; supports other clinics as needed.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Certification/license in the discipline (EMT, CNA, RT, RN, etc.)

Hyperbaric Medicine Training Course (UHMS or NBDHMT)

Certification in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (ACHM, CHT, or CHS)

American Heart Association BLS Certification

Covid-19 vaccination or approved exemption
