Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Florida, seeks a Full-Time Hyperbaric Chamber Technician and Safety Officer for its Wound Healing Institute. You will prepare patients, operate hyperbaric equipment, monitor care, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Hyperbaric certification (CHT) preferred
• Proven experience as Hyperbaric Technician
• Experience in hyperbaric medicine or wound care preferred
• Experience operating or assisting hyperbaric chamber treatments required
• BLS certification required or to be obtained on hire
• Knowledge of hyperbaric safety standards and emergency procedures
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Good communication with clinicians, patients, and staff
• Dependable, organized, and professional in a specialized setting

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy and explain procedures
• Safely operate and monitor hyperbaric chamber equipment
• Monitor patients during treatment and report concerns
• Perform pre-treatment safety checks
• Assist wound care team and department operations
• Maintain accurate treatment, equipment, and safety records
• Conduct routine chamber safety inspections and hazards identification
• Coordinate safety drills and emergency preparedness
• Maintain safety logs and compliance documentation
• Collaborate with Facilities, Biomedical Services, and Quality/Risk teams
• Participate in additional Wound Healing Institute duties as needed
