Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator to oversee daily operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chambers and related equipment. You will ensure patient safety and chamber operation, and provide hyperbaric training to nursing and technical staff.

The role requires an NBDHMT introductory hyperbaric medicine course (or equivalent) and 2+ years of monoplace chamber experience. Certification as CHT is required at hire, with the safety director course due within 18

Qualifications

• Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
• Two or more years of experience operating and maintaining monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
• License approved by NBDHMT to qualify for CHT Certification (EMT, LPN, LVN, RT, RN). Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification required at time of hire.
• Completion of the Hyperbaric safety director course to be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation and maintenance of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related equipment.
• Provide oversight for hyperbaric operations ensuring patient safety and chamber safety.
• Provide hyperbaric training to nursing and technical personnel on safe chamber operations and procedures.
