Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Windows Server and virtualization experience, including production Hyper-V clusters.
• Real world VMware vSphere/ESXi to Hyper-V Migration experience.
• Working knowledge of SCVMM, Failover Clustering, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
• Solid storage and networking fundamentals: FC/iSCSI SAN, VLANs, virtual switches, and NIC teaming.
• Veeam Backup & Replication experience, plus enough PowerShell to automate the repeatable stuff.
• A troubleshooter's mindset, a generalist's attitude, and the ability to explain your work to customers.

Responsibilities

• Build Hyper‑V hosts and failover clusters on Windows Server environments.
• Deploy and manage the platform with SCVMM and Active Directory on a segmented VLAN network design.
• Plan and run VMware‑to‑Hyper‑V migrations with Veeam, from pre‑migration prep through cutover.
• Tune workloads after cutover (CPU, memory, power settings, security exclusions).
• Work with Networking and Security on VLAN segmentation, virtual firewalls, and DR for migrated workloads.
• Own the oddballs (Legacy OSes, SAP HANA) and document everything.
