Job summary

Superior Hydrovac is seeking a Hydrovac Operations Supervisor to oversee daily field operations, coordinate crews, and ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction across projects. You will manage documentation, scheduling, and equipment checks, while mentoring staff and upholding company standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in underground utilities, strong leadership and communication skills, and a willingness to engage with clients and contractors to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• 3-5 years in underground utility industry.
• Experience overseeing multiple crews.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of supervised departments and optimize crew/work hours.
• Proactively manage business and provide management feedback on critical issues.
• Ensure safety, quality, training and standards with clients.
• Perform weekly field audits on crews.
• Inspect equipment daily and ensure proper walk-around checks.
• Complete all required paperwork for the company and clients.
• Develop leadership and maintain a skilled, motivated workforce.
• Ensure fleet policies compliance and optimize vehicle utilization.
• Order and track materials and supplies needed for day-to-day tasks.
• Keep yard and storage areas organized daily.
• Participate in industry forums to stay updated.
• Deliver continuous improvement in productivity, safety, quality, and cost.
• Mentor, coach, and discipline department employees.
