Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Hydrostatic Test Technician in Rhode Island to operate and maintain the hydrostatic test chamber, performing pressure tests on sealed vessels and pressurized components used in autonomous underwater systems.

You will document results, follow procedures, and collaborate with production and engineering to ensure components meet specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and comfort with high-pressure equipment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in hands-on testing, inspection, or manufacturing technician role.
• Experience with pressure testing, leak detection, or quality verification processes.
• Ability to read technical documentation, engineering drawings, and test procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with disciplined data recording.
• Mechanical aptitude with high‑pressure systems, pumps, fittings, and gauges.
• Effective communicator for test results to engineering and production teams.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Hydrostatic Test Execution: Set up, operate, and monitor the hydrostatic test chamber to perform pressure testing on sealed vessels, housings, and pressurized components.
• Test Preparation and Fixturing: Prepare components for testing by installing fittings, plugs, seals, and connections.
• Inspection and Defect Identification: Visually inspect components for leaks, pinholes, seal failures, weld issues, or other nonconformities.
• Data Recording and Documentation: Record test parameters and observations; complete test reports and quality records.
• Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Maintain test chamber, pumps, gauges, and fittings; support calibration activities.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols for high-pressure testing; maintain a clean workspace.
• Cross‑Functional Coordination: Work with production, quality, and engineering to schedule tests and communicate results.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to test procedure and workflow improvements.
