Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Hydropower Practice in the Southeast, supporting design, repair and retrofit of utility structures. You will review documents, coordinate multi-discipline teams and ensure code compliance for design development and contract documents, including field collaboration with project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• PE license recognized by the licensing board for the position's location is required.
• Previous structural engineer experience and familiarity with engineering software are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write and edit structural specifications and perform calculations.
• Coordinate the structural design team through design development and CD phases.
• Participate in code-compliance reviews with governing agencies.
• Conduct design development and CD sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines.

Education
