Job summary

Hoffman Hydronics in Nashville seeks a Hydronic Startup & Warranty Technician to be the trusted technical resource for our sales team and customers during initial equipment startup and warranty periods. You will ensure equipment is installed per manufacturers’ recommendations, started up properly, and that owners understand maintenance to keep systems operating as long as possible.

You’ll receive in‑depth factory training and collaborate with manufacturers’ technical experts to better assist

Qualifications

• Two+ years hands-on experience with boilers, water heaters, or hydronic HVAC systems.
• Ability to read piping schematics, wiring diagrams, and OEM manuals.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; pass background check.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; works well under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Startup, owner training, and performance checks on hydronic systems.
• Verify performance against design and manufacturer recommendations; adjust for safe operation.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues using support resources.
• Train operators on operation and maintenance.
• Document procedures and test results in service reports.
• Plan ahead with tools and materials before arriving on site.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to resolve issues.
• Maintain service vehicle and inventory.
• Follow safety policies including lockout/tagout and PPE.
