Job summary

Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Boiler Service and Start‑up Technician to perform preventive maintenance, start‑ups, and repair work on light commercial and industrial hydronic systems.

The role emphasizes customer service and working with specialized equipment in large facilities. Candidates should have an HVAC certificate or equivalent, at least five years’ related experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical/trade certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess valid driver’s license.
• Operational knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships and confidence in HMS and our core products.
• Perform repairs, overhauls, maintenance and start‑ups of boilers, water heaters, pumps and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot commercial hydronic systems.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by efficiently servicing projects and documenting work.
• Plan ahead for jobs and ensure you have the proper tools.
• Maintain records and coordinate with Service Coordinator.
