The role covers leaching process duties, pipe fusions, plant nomenclature, spray heads and drip systems, clay treatment, loading/unloading pipe, and operating equipment such as skid-steer loaders and forklifts.

Qualifications

• Three months experience in mining/manufacturing, industrial operations, or related fields.
• Completion of required academic and practical competencies and passing a written assessment (safety).
• Ability to apply knowledge and skills as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to the leaching process and leach field construction.
• Assist with and perform pipe fusions using fusing machine.
• Maintain knowledge of plant nomenclature including sumps, pumps and leaching areas.
• Assist with placement of evaporative spray heads and drip systems on leach fields.
• Assist with clay treatment including possible filter press use.
• Load, deliver and unload pipe and materials.
• Operate mobile equipment (skid-steer, forklifts, boom trucks, light vehicles).
• Assist with maintenance activities and area housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as required.
