Job summary

The Amatriot Group seeks a skilled Hydromechanical Engineer to support mission-critical naval test systems. This role primarily supports operations in Memphis, TN, with potential support at Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; willing to substitute 4 years of experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience in industrial settings.
  • Strong background in fluid dynamics and mechanical design.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and FEA.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hydromechanical and fluid power systems.
  • Apply analytical methods to evaluate performance and identify optimizations.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical machinery.
  • Model, validate, and analyze system performance.
  • Work hands-on with equipment to support testing, maintenance, and improvements.
  • Utilize CAD to develop and modify designs.
  • Conduct or support FEA as needed.
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, and system documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and practices.
  • Provide clear technical documentation and reporting.
