• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engineering solutions for complex hydromechanical and fluid power systems.
• Apply strong analytical methods to evaluate system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving hydraulic and mechanical machinery.
• Perform system modeling, validation, and performance analysis.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and is excited to learn the intricacies of a unique, highly complex hydromechanical system. This individual is proactive in applying engineering knowledge to develop practical solutions and is comfortable interacting hands‑on with operational equipment in an industrial test environment.
This role is well‑suited for a mechanically inclined engineer who thrives in applied, real‑world engineering scenarios involving fluid dynamics, mechanical design, and system troubleshooting.

  • Can substitute 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 3+ years of related hands‑on mechanical engineering experience
  • Experience in industrial, heavy manufacturing, waterworks, or similar environments preferred
• Strong background in fluid dynamics and mechanical design
• Proficiency with CAD software
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and practices

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting U.S. Navy or Department of Defense programs
• Experience in naval or laboratory test system environments
• Experience performing root cause analysis on complex mechanical systems
• Knowledge of military standards and specifications
