Job summary

GFT is seeking a Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) to join our Hydraulics Team in Fort Worth - Dallas, Austin, Beaumont, or Houston, TX, on a hybrid schedule requiring regular attendance at Texas offices. The role focuses on drainage studies, master plans, and engineering analyses within GFT’s water resources and environmental projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• 4 to 10 years of relevant experience involving H&H Projects.
• Experience with Project proposals and Presentations.
• Expertise with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP SWMM (1D/2D), AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage impact studies, master plans and engineering reports (including CLOMRs & LOMRs).
• Lead the development of project design concepts, criteria, construction plans and reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance
• Work with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work
• Analyze complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
• Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability
• Provide input for proposals and pursuit of new projects
• Supervision of junior level staff
• Makes recommendations on project staffing
• Communicates independently with clients

Education
