Job summary

GFT is seeking a Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer to join the Fort Worth/Dallas area team. The position involves performing engineering calculations, technical studies, and preparing plans for drainage, master plans, and related analyses.

You will coordinate with clients and internal disciplines, supervise staff, and contribute to proposals. Qualified candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, 4–10 years of H&H experience, and proficiency with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, XP SWMM,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• 4 to 10 years of relevant H&H project experience.
• Experience with proposals and presentations for projects.
• Expertise with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP SWMM (1D/2D), AutoCAD/MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of drainage impact studies, master plans, and reports.
• Develop project design concepts, criteria, and construction plans with QA/QC.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines to prepare designs.
• Analyze complex design problems and develop improved methods.
• Provide input for proposals and new project pursuits.
• Supervise junior staff and manage project staffing.
• Communicate independently with clients and stakeholders.
