Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Hydrologist Project Manager in Foxborough, MA, to lead hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design across stream restoration, dam rehabilitation, and flood mitigation projects. You’ll manage projects, mentor staff, and develop client relationships in a dynamic, employee-owned firm.

The role requires 5–10 years in transportation or hydrology project management, a BS (required) and MS (preferred), and strong modeling software expertise.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field (required).
• MS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or similar field (preferred).
• 5-10 years of experience in transportation or hydrology project management.
• 2+ years of experience managing hydrology-related projects.
• Strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulics principles and transportation infrastructure systems.
• Experience with floodplain analysis, stormwater design, and transportation infrastructure evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Direct client communications on technical design aspects, project schedule, budget, and scope.
• Lead and coordinate project teams across multiple design disciplines.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, contributing to business development and project opportunities.
• Support business development efforts, including marketing, proposal preparation, and client outreach.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior engineers and designers.
• Lead project teams in the design and delivery of transportation or hydrology projects, ensuring all aspects are met including studies, modeling, and final design.
