Job summary

Water & Environmental Technologies (WET) is seeking a Hydrogeology Intern for Summer 2027 at our headquarters in Butte, Montana. You’ll work with engineers and professionals, applying classroom knowledge to real consulting projects and gaining hands-on field experience.

The internship involves field and office work across the Rocky Mountain region, with travel as needed. You’ll assist with water sampling, well design oversight, data collection and analysis, and preparation of technical reports,

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a hydrogeology, environmental, geoscience, geological engineering or related degree program.
• Some coursework, internship, or other experience related to hydrogeology, geological, environmental engineering or geoscience.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and energetic; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of consulting projects throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
• Perform field and office tasks with guidance from engineers and professionals.
• Assist with water sampling, monitoring well design/installation, data collection and analysis, and report preparation.
