Job summary

Water & Environmental Technologies (WET) seeks a motivated Environmental/Geoscience Intern for Summer 2027 in Kalispell, MT. The role blends field and office work with hands-on experience on environmental projects across the Rocky Mountain region.

You will assist with sampling, data collection, and analysis, while learning from engineers and scientists. Travel, including overnight stays, will be required.

Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in an environmental engineering, geoscience, hydrogeology, or related degree program.
• Have some coursework, internship, or other experience related to environmental engineering or geoscience.
• Be self-motivated, dependable, and energetic.
• Have a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Be comfortable working in the field and outdoors in a variety of conditions.
• Be willing and able to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
• Have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support field and office projects across the Rocky Mountain region.
• Assist with environmental sampling, data collection, and reporting.
• Learn and perform hydrogeologic investigations and site inspections.
• Travel as needed, including overnight travel.
• Contribute to project deliverables and technical documentation.
