Job summary

Water & Environmental Technologies (WET) seeks a Hydrogeology Intern for Summer 2027 at our Butte, Montana headquarters. You will join a team of engineers and professionals, applying classroom knowledge to real consulting projects with field and office work.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in water sampling, well design, environmental data analysis, and regulatory concepts while collaborating with experienced staff across the Rocky Mountain region.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in hydrogeology or related degree program.
• Coursework, internship, or experience in hydrogeology or geoscience.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and energetic.
• Willing to learn and take on new challenges.
• Work effectively independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable outdoors and willing to travel, including overnight trips.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support hydrogeology projects across the Rocky Mountain region.
• Engage in field and office work to apply engineering principles.
• Learn from experienced professionals on real consulting projects.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and project documentation.
