Nevada Gold Mines in Elko, NV is seeking a hydrogeologist to join the Water Management Team at the Cortez operation. You will oversee drilling and construction, perform hydrogeology testing, and communicate dewatering status to Mine Planning and Operations.

Role requires a bachelor's in hydrogeology/geology or related field, 2+ years mining experience preferred, and strong safety leadership. The position offers a comprehensive compensation package and growth within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in hydrogeology, geology, civil engineering (or similar) required.
Minimum 2 years of mining industry experience preferred.
Advanced technical communications, personal interaction and presentations skills required.
Ability to operate independently and in small multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with drill rigs and hydrogeology instrumentation preferred.
Proficient computer skills including MS Office, LeapFrog, Deswik, Vulcan, GIS.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, budget, and oversee hydrogeology drilling & construction.
Perform hydrogeologic testing on drill holes and wells including pump/injection/slug/packer/airlift tests.
Interpret hydrogeologic testing results.
Communicate with Mine Planning Staff to meet drilling goals.
Provide hydrogeological guidance to Mine Operations and Mine Planning.
Install, operate, and maintain hydrogeology monitoring equipment.
Collect and analyze monitoring data.
Manage/supervise drillers and subcontractors.
Unconventional hours may be necessary due to drilling activities.
Update and maintain hydrogeologic database.
